TSW1400EVM: The high speed data conventer can not send the DAC data to the pattern genertor.

Part Number: TSW1400EVM

The software keep loading for very long time.

The DAC connect to the pattern generator is TSW3070EVM, so the DAC I selected is DAC5682z.

  • Hi,

How many samples are there in the pattern that you are sending to DAC? Can you please provide DAC update rate, datarate, interpolation and also send the pattern file to me. Also have to tired to use I/Q multitoned gen and try to send a single tone from HSDCpro software to that DAC and see if you are able to an output?

  • Thank you for your reply

I tried to send sereval different .csv files (attached on the reply). However only those test files provied by (High Speed Data Converter Pro\Test Files) can be successfully sent.

I also tried different data rate from 10k to 100m, but I still can't send the data to the board memory. I am not sure where can I find the DAC update rate.

Besides, the tone generated by I/Q generator can be sucessfully sent.

Only my own wave can not be sent. Would you mind to see what is wrong with my .csv file, thank you.

.csv file is not allowed to update. So I changed their suffix to .txt. Plz change them back to .csv.

  • OK, I got the reson now. The samples of the pattern must be a mutiple of 8 or 16. Although the HDSC pro said it will truncated the number of samples into a mutiple of 8, it still can not send out the data. I have to reduce or increase the samples manually.
  • Hi,

Yes you wil need to send sample as multiple of 16 or 32. I normally generate file with 4096, 8092, 16384 and so on.

  • Thank you so much. I can generat the waveform now.

However, I cannot change the data rate ( symbol per second) of the output form.

No matter what the data rate I set in the HSDC pro GUI, the output waveform of TSM3070evm(dac5682z) do not change. Would you please to tell me how can I change the data rate of the DAC output?

Here I attached the screenprint of the GUI and the photo of my devices.
