Hello,

I am trying to design a long distance metal detector ( 1m ). So, is this part suitable for my design?

In other words, how much the maximum distance of the target that can be work?

    Hi Mohammad,

    The sensing range for the LMP91300 (and all inductive sensing devices) is based on the diameter of the sensor coil. Generally the sensing range is about 100% of the coil's diameter. I think 1m detection distance would be unfeasible for all inductive sensing devices. You could try ultrasonic sensing, although this would not be able to differentiate between metals and non-metals.
