ADS1274: Linearity Error

Part Number: ADS1274

I would like to know if a population distribution plot related to INL error is available for this device. I am also interested in receiving a linearity error plot vs input level with worst case conditions as the one shown on the datasheet at fig. 41.

Kind regards

maurizio

  • Hello Maurizio,

Welcome to our forum and thank you for your post!

Min and Max specs are either guaranteed by characterization of a collection of devices or by screening at final test. Either way, the min/max limits are usually placed at +/- 5 or 6 sigma from the mean. Unfortunately, we cannot share additional characterization data and plots through a public forum or directly with customers without a non-disclosure agreement in place.

INL is a tricky spec to characterize under all possible configurations. It can change measurably just by sweeping a clock frequency, the input amplitude, either supply voltage, etc. Between the INL and THD plots shown in figures 40 - 46, you should have an idea as to which system parameters have the most effect on the linear performance of the ADS1274.

Sorry I can't be of more help here.

    Best Regards,
  • Dear Ryan,
thanks a lot for your answer! As you said, would it be possible to set a NDA between MCI, the University of Apllied Sciences that I am working for, and TI? As we are currently designing high-precision electronics, it would really help us to have some support.
    Thank you in advance

  • Hi Maurizio,

Sorry, but that's not something I can help with. I believe you would have to go through a local TI representative and they would have to justify the NDA with our legal team.

If you do have further questions about the device, I would be happy to help you.

    Best Regards,
