DAC8820: EVM: Excessive current draw

Is it normal for the DAC 8820 EVM to draw over 100 mA from the positive rail? It seems that U2, the reference buffer is running very hot.

(Also, in SLAU190A you might add that you need to supply VA and VA- to the board. You only mention Vdd)

    Hi Keith,

    Thank you for your query. As you mentioned that the EVM is drawing over 100mA and the reference buffer is running hot, looks like some connection might have gone wrong and/or some device might have got damaged.

    I will take a note on the EVM User's Guide comment. Thank you for finding out.
