ADS131E08: about OFFSETCAL command

Part Number: ADS131E08

Hi all,
I have a question about OFFSETCAL command.

What is the trigger for executing OFFSETCAL command?
Is the falling clock of the eighth SCLK + 4  tCLK the point to start the operation of this command?
Or may I need START Command or START signal to execute this command?

Regards,
Toshi

  • Hello Toshi-san,

The OFFSETCAL command is decoded on the eighth SCLK falling edge. After the command is decoded, it will take 153 ms to complete the internal measurements and to save the offset calibration value. The device must be actively converting in Continuous Conversion mode. This means that you must also bring the START pin high or send the START command prior to sending the OFFSETCAL command.

    Best Regards,
