AFE4300: AC Rectification question for AFE4300

Part Number: AFE4300

Hi team,

The customer uses AFE4300. The datasheet shows AC Rectification"Although, with one single frequency or measurement, only the module of the impedance

can be obtained; two different frequencies could be used to obtain both the real and the imaginary parts", the customer has to get how to calculate

the two frequencies? Is there any documents?

  • For this, you need to be able to have a model for the impedance in terms of R and C. The magnitude and phase of such an impedance can be expressed in terms of R, C and f where f is the excitation frequency. If you measure the magnitude of the impedance at two different frequencies f1 and f2, then you can get two equations with two variables (R and C) from which you can solve for R and C. Using that, you can calculate the real and imaginary parts of the impedance.
