ADS7830: Interface Analog vibration sensor with High speed adc converter using Micro controller

Part Number: ADS7830

There is Analog Vibration sensor available with us to check the health status of high tech machine and for getting the best output rather then using PLC systems, with some advice by colleagues I bought ADS7830 high speed analog to digital converter available with company name ncd.io but to monitor the range we have to convert the data as per vibration peak analysis but I am not aware how to create the desired output as per input shared by vibration sensors?

Any suggestion to use this kind of sensor with micro controller will be much helpful.

  • Hi Snart

Can you please elaborate more on what kind of analog vibration sensor you are using. Do you have sensor specification such as output voltage swing, signal frequency.

ADS7830 is a 8 bit, 8 channel ADC. This ADC will convert input analog signal to digital and data can be read by MCU over I2C interface. The detailed description on ADC data read can be found in ADS7830 datasheet.

This is a 8 channel device. How many vibration sensors do you have in your system. Based on analog vibration sensor output swing you may need to use signal conditioning block between sensor and ADC.

    Thanks & Regards
