ADS1255: Is the high state of chip select (CS) pin affecting the DRDY state?

Expert 6460 points
Part Number: ADS1255

Team,

we are considering using ADS1255 in our design - as per the datasheet, when the chip select (CS) pin is high, the DOUT signal is tri-state (high impedance).

What about the DRDY pin? Is the DRDY in tri-state (high impedance) too, when the chipselect (CS) is high?

Thank you for your help,
Customer

  • Hi Bartosz,

The /DRDY pin is a digital output that is always active (driven).

/DRDY is typically provided to the MCU and used as an interrupt to tell trigger a "read data" operation; therefore, it would need to remain active even when /CS is high.

    Best regards,
    Chris
