ADS4149: Input Protection

Hi team,

I'm an FAE supporting some industrial companies in Japan.

My customer considers employing ADS4149 and he provided a question.

Does ADS4149 have over-voltage protection diode at analog input(INP and INN)?

Shota,

Yes, there are protection diodes on the INP and INM input pins.

The pins have diodes from ground-to-pin and pin-to-supply (AVDD).

The voltage on these pins should be limited within AVDD+0.3V.

Once forward biased, the ESD diode can withstand 10mA current for 100ms.

Customer can add small series resistance (before INP and INM) pins) in order to limit the forward bias current from diode.
