Hi TI experts,

I need to choose external ADC solution to be interfaced with MCU TMS320F28377D

Following to the discussion in the MCU forum https://e2e.ti.com/support/microcontrollers/c2000/f/171/t/714323

I am posting my requirement here in precision ADC e2e forum.

Actually,i need 8 channel,12 bit external ADC to be interfaced with TI MCU TMS320F28377D.

I have attached a reference schematic of ADC interfacing with handshaking signals.

Pls suggest a best ADC solution to be interfaced with TMS320F28377D as per the requirement.

Also,pls suggest the necessary signal interconnections between MCU & recommended ADC.

Hello Ramesh,

Doing a quick parametric search, using the parameters you gave, 12 bit resolution 8 input channels, and input voltage higher than 10V, there are four devices that results. Note that the interface was not filtered, thus results include both serial and parallel interraces.

If you use the TI Crossreference tool, it provides the TI ADC128S102 device with same functionality, this has a smaller input range which is why it did not come out in the parametric search above.

Would you provide more detail about your use case. What is the sampling rate you expect to use, what is your input source?
