DAC8742H: DAC8742H

Part Number: DAC8742H

Dear sr

In DAC8742H we do not have a TRM_ACT pin  to control enable mode when a go to transmit ?

As show in attached file.

  • Hi Edson,

DAC8742H will transmit when the UART_RTS pin is pulled low in UART mode or the RTS bit is set in SPI mode. Typically MOD_OUT (FB-SIG-OUT) and MOD_IN (FB-SIG-IN) are tied together after the AC coupling capacitors. Since HART is half-duplex there should never be a time where MOD_OUT is transmitting while MOD_IN is receiving. The transistor is not required to prevent the modem from transmitting. There is no pin dedicated to driving the transistor in your schematic but UART_RTS could be used or another GPIO pin from a microcontroller.

    Thanks,

    Garrett
