AMC7812: reset pin

Part Number: AMC7812

Hello Team quick question.

I am trying to determine which voltage rail I should time/tie the Rest pin to, IOVDD or DVDD. I am having a hard time finding anything in the datasheet.

Is there a recommendation or requirement for this?

Thanks!

  • Hi Mike,

You can refer to Page 6 of the datasheet for this information, the first two specifications on that page describing Input High Voltage and Input Low Voltage. There's a couple of digital logic threshold sections so I understand how it's easy to miss. The top-line conditions for these specifications indicate their relevance for all digital logic except for SCL, SDA, ALARM, and GPIO. The thresholds for ALARM and GPIO are on the bottom of the previous page (Page 5) and the thresholds for the I2C signals are just about the middle of Page 6.

    Hope this helps.
  • Ahh,

Understood, Thanks for pointing that out for me Kevin, was uncertain if the RESET had any special requirements.

    Appreciate the quick support!
