AMC7834: Thermal pad connection to ground vs Vss

Hi, can I connect the thermal pad to a ground plane for thermal reasons? I don't have a Vss plane.

Luis,

The thermal pad does have some electrical conductivity, it does not function purely for thermal conductivity. Therefore it is important that it is connected to the same potential as the AVSS net.
