Dear TI Team.

I would like to ask a question about the ADS8588S.

Is the PGA gain programmable?

How can I get the gain of PGA changed?  For example, the input is 200mV, how can I change the gain into more than 1?

    Hello Jie,

    Welcome to E2E forum.

    The PGA Gain of ADS8588S can not be programmed by the user, the Gain will be changed automatically when you select different input range +/-10V or +/-5V by pin 8 which is a range select pin. Our minimum input range of internal PGA on SAR is 1.28V on ADS8688A but it's a non-simultaneous sampling ADC, since your signal is really small, so delta-sigma ADC may be a good option, can you please let me know your requirements?

    • Sampling rate?
    • Resolution?
    • Channel count?
    • simultaneous sampling or not?
