Our customer is using ADS1291 in a Blood Analyzer application. They have observed that in about 3-4 boards (out of 13) they are getting incorrect Device ID. Below are further details.
They are facing some issues with ADS1291.
In this design they need to do the self test of ADC, so are using “ID: ID Control Register” as device ID for ADS1291.
For ADS1291, this register should return 0x52 value(per page 39 of datasheet). But we are getting 0xBF value.
They have tried reading the device ID with 2 different MCUs but the observation has been same. Any suggestions on this?
