HI ,
My self gokul and im currently bought the FDC1004 (not EVM) im able to measure water level accurately but not able to measure diesel level , im using arduino .Is there any way to measure it ....and what is capdac exactly...
Thank you.

Hi Gokul,
If you are able to measure the water level correctly, it sounds like you have a reasonable liquid-level sensing setup. The problem might be the viscosity of the diesel. If the diesel leaves any residue on your sensors you would have measurement errors. In addition, slightly conductive liquids can sometimes pose a problem if they drain charge out the sensors. You may find this application note helpful. There are also several other liquid-level sensing application notes on the FDC1004 product page on ti.com.
The CAPDAC is an offset capacitor used to compensate for constant parasitic capacitances, like a shielded cable leading to the sensor. It is used to keep the capacitive measurements within the +/- 15pF full scale input range. You can read more about it in section 8.3.2 of the datasheet.
