DAC121S101: Load on Eval Board

Hello,

I noticed this DAC is spec'd to have a max load capacitance of 1.5nF.

The EVM has a 10nF capacitor, which I am assuming is okay because of the 200-Ohm series resistor on the output.

Is there anyway to determine if this would be stable with a 50-ohm resistor? Or can you confirm? It would be a shame to spend $50 to do one small test.

Hi Ryan,

Thank you for your query. I have the EVM of another device of the same family. It has the same R-C values. I can do this test and let you know by Monday.

Because these are old parts, we won't be able to help you with simulation data.

Hi Ryan,

I am confident that 50Ω is plenty of isolation for the 10nF cap. This is very low risk.
