    I'm sorry, but this question is too vague to do much with. The issue is tagged as a TI-RTOS issue, but I think this is a more general question for the analog team. I'm going to remove the "TI-RTOS" tag from this post in hopes that someoene in the analog team will take this up. I do think that you need to provide more background information so that someone can help you.

    Thank you for your post and welcome to our forum!

    Please review the SPI Interface and SPI Command Definitions sections of the datasheet. You will need to use the RREG command to read back the ID register in the ADS1198. Also, be sure to follow the timing requirements outlined on page 12.
