DAC101C081: I2C communication abortion

Hi,

my customer uses DAC101C081 with I2C. There are sporadic loss of communication with the DAC. Looks like its hang-up. Is there a way to reset the DAC over I2C? How can we prevent this behavior?

    The device does not feature a HW reset pin, nor is there a SW reset command (not that a SW reset would help if the digital interface is "hung-up"). Can you provide more specific details about this situation for us to understand what could be the root cause?

    A schematic could help, as well as oscilloscope captures of both successful and unsuccessful I2C transactions.

    Is anything else on the I2C bus? When this 'hang up' situation occurs, does the device respond to the broadcast address?
