ADS8698EVM-PDK: Driver Install Failure?

Part Number: ADS8698EVM-PDK

Hi,

I am unable to install the driver for the SDCC(Simple Capture Card Device).

After the ADS86XX EVM GUI installed, the driver for the SDCC will be installed automatically.

However, the installation process encountered a error. Please refer to the pics below.

Am I missing any files? or is there any update driver?

P.S. I am on a 64 bit Win10 O.S..

Help will be very appreciated.

Hi Dale,

The SDCC Win10 driver has installed successfully, and the HW shown connected in EVM GUI.

However, there is an another problem happened.

While I was trying to capture data, it often shown error message as below pic.

I clicked the stop button and the EVM GUI window closed.

And then, I reopened the EVM GUI.

Another error message pop-out as following.

It won't recover unless I re-plug the USB cable.

I have tried copy the configuration files to the micro SD card, but it doesn't help.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Hi Kevin,

We are looking into the issue you got, but I would like to confirm two questions with you:

1. Are using connecting and testing ADS8698EVM+PHI or ADS86xxEVM(8688?)+PHI? looks like you are using two GUIs.

2. Where are you copying the configuration files from to the micro SD cards?

Hi Dale,

Please see the reply below in blue:

1. Are using connecting and testing ADS8698EVM+PHI or ADS86xxEVM(8688?)+PHI? looks like you are using two GUIs.

I am using ADS8698EVM+PHI with ADS86XX EVM GUI.

I guest if the ADS8698EVM is recognizable by the software, then it shows ADS8698 EVM on the top of the window.

Otherwise, it will show ADS86XX EVM instead.

2. Where are you copying the configuration files from to the micro SD cards?

I copy the configuration files from this file. => C:\Program Files (x86)\Texas Instruments\ADS86XX EVM GUI\Configuration Files

Hello Kevin,

Thanks for your patience. After continuous communications with our GUI expert, we have not seen this failure before, but the only way we can recreate this failure is with a corrupted SD Card.
