LMP90100: What is the frequency stability of the internal clock?

Part Number: LMP90100

My question pertains to the LMP90100MH/NOPB 24-bit ADC.

For our application, we’re using the ADC’s internal 893kHZ clock for sampling.  What is the frequency stability of this clock?

  • Mark,

I'm checking to see if there's any data on the frequency stability of this clock. However, in the absence of data, I would say that if there are concerns about the clock frequency and it's relation to the operation, I would use an external clock source. A crystal will have much less variability.

  • Mark,

It looks like there was some characterization done on the internal oscillator frequency. Looking at final test data on just under 300000 units, the average frequency was 893kHz, with the great majority between 891 and 896, there are some flyers that push this out to 880 and 909, but those are removed by final test:

Measuring units over temperature, there is also some variation as the temperature rises.
