ADS62P49: Data Converters Forum

Part Number: ADS62P49

I am testing the data collection with ADS62P49. When the register is configured according to the register table, it is found that
when the input end of AD is suspended, the output collection data of AD is only 0X3FFF and 0x0000.I want to ask, is this normal?
In addition, when I configure register 0x50 as 0x5044 output, AD output data format is still offset binary code, I want to know
why?My register table is as follows.

  • We have received your question. An ADS62P49 expert will provide a more detailed response soon.

  • Hey zhenguo,

Register x50 should be set to 0x44 not 0x5044. You accidentally added the register address to the register value.

I dont quite know what you mean by A/D being suspended. However, the output data you are seeing reflect the input of the ADC is being overdriven. Reference page 72 of the datasheet under the section "Output Data Format".

  • Hey Yusuf

I am sorry for my negligence here.I forgot to indicate that the configuration information table above (0x50 is the address, 0x44 is the data) is correct based on the FPGA. Obtain the two's complement output according to the data sheet, but when I configure it to 0x5046, the data is still a two's complement output.

“suspended” means that no input signal is connected to the input of the AD.

In addition,My drive circuit is Figure 103 in ADS62p49 data sheet .When a 1M square wave signal is input, Sampling rate 250MHZ, the waveform result displayed by using the chipscope for the conversion data drawing and the software is not a square wave signal, and the conversion result is as follows. This should be caused by AC coupling, but I do not know the principles of which, you can provide some explanation or reference it?

  • zhenguo,,

You have to also adjust the voltage you apply to the SEN pin when using 2's complement. Are you already doing so? Please refer to table 7 of the datasheet.

let me know if this helps

    Thanks
