ADS7861: Thermal Resistance Data

Part Number: ADS7861

I have been going through all of the spec sheets for ADS7861 but I have not been able to find the thermal resistance data (Theta JC, Theta JA, and Theta JB) could you please provide me with these values? I need them for a thermal analysis.

    Hello Pedro,

    Unfortunately, this is a very old device, and that type of information was not heavily considered back then. I can take a deeper look into our archives, but doubt that there will be any information available.

    I would suggest looking at a newer device which will provide the thermal information.

    I also did a quick parametric search to find a newer similar device, as they should have similar thermal properties, and found the ADS8361, although it's newer than the ADS7861, it's still pretty dated. But it does have more thermal properties available in its datasheet.

    Hello Pedro,

    After taking a look into it, it seems that thermal information was measured after realease of the device.

    Please see below thermal information

    Result- Theta JA-High K (standard datasheet value): 32.2

    Result-Theta JC, top (standard datasheet value): 25.2

    Result-Theta JB (standard datasheet value): 6.6

    Result- Psi JT (standard datasheet value) :0.3

    Result- Psi JB (standard datasheet value): 6.6

    Result-Theta JC, bottom (standard datasheet value): 1.1
