ADS1262: Switching the multiplexer

Hello,

Our customer use the ADS1262 with chop mode.

The customer measure two analog signals.

When they are switching the multiplexer, should they reset the data?

or

Is it enough to care about the latency?

    Hi Naoki-san,

    When you say "reset the data" do you mean to say "synchronize (restart) the conversion"?

    The ADS1262 will automatically restart the conversion after writing to the INPMUX register. Therefore, it is not necessary to issue a "START1" command after switching channels.

    Once the next channel has been selected, the microcontroller can monitor the /DRDY signal or poll the device (read data continuously, checking the value of the STATUS byte) to see when the digital filter has settled.
