Hi,


Is it normal for VCAP3 to exceed AVDD? I am measuring 6.7V while giving the chip a 4.75V analog supply. There's no voltage in my system that exceeds 5.5V. Thanks!

    Hello Yu,

     

    It is normal to see a higher voltage than what supplied.

     

    VCAP3 is part of the internal charge pump of the ADS129x parts. (As a refresher, a charging pump is designed to output a higher voltage than the supply-approximately 1.9V above in this case) Let us know should you have any more questions.
