ADS1299: How to choose band-limiting capacitor

Part Number: ADS1299

Hi Sir,

According to  Ads1299's datasheet ,we know  band-limiting capacitor is quite critical, But it doesn't specify which one is band-limitint capacitor ( I think it's the one connect to VCAP1) , and how to be chosen。

Would you pls give some advice on this issue?

  • Hello Sara,

    Thanks for your post!

The paragraph is somewhat confusingly written since it applies to both the internal and external reference configurations. The bandwidth limiting capacitor is the 10uF cap between VREFP and VREFN. The Pin Functions section of the datasheet specifies that 10uF is the minimum value that should be connected between VREFP and VREFN, however simply using a 10uF is acceptable. The Pin Functions section also specifies values for the external capacitors connected to the VCAP1-4 pins.
  • Hi Alex,
    Thanks for your timely reply.
