AMC1210: AMC1210 Reset behaviour and modulator input termination

Part Number: AMC1210

Dear Team,

we want to use the AMC1210 device in our System.

1) We have some questions on teh RST/ Signal of the device:

- does the signal only connect to Interrupt Module (as shown in block diagram) or to the complete control Module?

- Is these a need to hold the device in reset during power-up. What is the reset delay after power up.

-  Can we leave the Reset Pin unconnected (internal pull-up) or do we need to pull it actively to VDD

Do you have a recommendation how to operate the RTS/ pin?

2) We will only use 3 Modulator Inputs, so the Pins IN4 and CLK4 will be unsed.

- Do you have recommendation how to terminate these pins (GND/VCC)?

Thanks and best reards,

Joe

  • Hi Josef,

The /RST pin on the AMC1210 is a complete device reset. You can toggle it to low after power up if you like or pull it up via resistor - it can't be left floating. Tying it to a GPIO on your processor is the most common implementation. CLK4 can be an input or output. If it's configured for an input, it would be best to tie the unused pins to GND via a resistor (i.e. 10k).
