ADC12DJ3200EVM: Channel B as input for single mode possible?

Genius 12865 points
Part Number: ADC12DJ3200EVM

Hello Team,

is it possible to see the input frequency on channel B in single mode (Fs=6.4GHz)? Everthing works as expected if I apply the input signal to channel A. But when switching to channel B in the GUI (Low Level View, INPUT_MUX, address 0x50 = 0x02) I cannot see any output.

Please provide a solution how to see channel B in single mode.

Thanks and Best Regards,

Hans

  • Hello Hans

Input B can be used in the single input modes by following the configuration sequence below:

    • On the GUI EVM tab, select the desired clock source, single input JMODE and clock rate and click the Program Clocks and ADC button in the GUI
    • Navigate to the JESD204B tab of the GUI, click the JESD Block Enable button to disable the JESD204 interface
    • Click the Input Selection button to change to INB is used
    • Click the JESD Block Enable button to enable the JESD204 interface
    • Navigate to the Control tab of the GUI, click the Cal Triggered/Running button 2 times. Setting this bit low and then high again triggers a new foreground calibration cycle with the INB input selected. This step is required to active operation with INB.
    • The device/EVM is now ready for use.

    I hope this is helpful.

    Best regards,

    Jim B
