Problem connecting ADS1298ECG-FE

Dir Sirs, I bought a evaluation board and i'm having problems to set it up.

I tried to read the registers , the process aparenty works due to the progress bar goes from 0% to 100% . 

But when it finished the readings all the registers are in 1.

Do you have an idea what could be the problem?

    Hi Rodrigo,

    Have you verified all the jumper settings for the ADS1298 eval board against the Users Guide?  Please also go to the product folder for the ADS1298 and make sure you have the latest software.  Let me know as well what your operating system is and see if you can take a screen shot of the register read panel for us.

    Tom,

    Thanks for your fast answer and sorry for my slow replay ;) . I download the last version of the software , because the one that cames with the CD  has the main window  fixed at 1360x1024 and doesn't fit  on  my laptop monitor  1360 x 768. The newest has an scroll bar and solve the problem.

    Regarding the board issue, the problem were the jumpers ( there was 2 jumpers in diferet positions) .I did testes and the ADS1298 Is great!!! . At this momment i'm doing my own version PCB board to test with my applications..

    Dear Tom,

    I am getting the same problem discussed by Rodrigo (Not getting any signal at scope)....  DEVICE Registers are all one's;

    Kindly provide the jumper settings..

    Hi Bilal,

    Please take a look at this post:

    There is a diagram there similar to what you see in the ADS1298 Users Guide Figure 62 on page 55.  The jumper numbers are a little different, but the relative placement of them are the same between the ADS1298 and the ADS1198 evaluation boards.  You should be able to map one from the other via the diagram in the post.  I will work on getting the same detail put together for the ADS1298 but that will take me a little time.

    Hi Tom,

     

    My newly arrived board have the same jumper setting(as shown in post);I have tried many register settings but all Config Register values are 0xFF.

    I am trying to test the TEST SIGNAL but haven't got the result ...So,guide me...

    Hi Bilal,

    Are you using your newly arrived ADS1298 board with our MMB0 and running into issues or are you trying to run it with your own processor?  The hardware and software should run just fine out of the box, so if you are having trouble with the configuration as shipped, I would suggest that you verify that you have the latest code (available from the ADS1298 product folder) installed on a Windows XP box.  If you do and there are still issues, perhaps something happened to your hardware in transit and I'd be interested to determine what that might be.  Let me know what software you are running and what your PC operating system is and we'll proceed from there.

    Problem Solved :)

    I downloaded the updated software from the ADS1298 product page.

    The software provided in the cd doesn't seem to be compatible.

    Kindly update your CD.
