ADC128S102QML-SP: maximum output current

What is the specified maximum output current for ADC128S102QML-SP for source and sink? The data sheet only lists Voh and Vol test conditions of 200uA and 200uA to 1mA respectively. The data sheet implies that is can source 200uA maximum. This would imply that it may not operate within specifications with a 3.3V supply and a 10k ohm resistor to ground.

Hello Robert,

The Dout pin is likely to be able to source significantly more than 200 uA but we do not have any data on what that might be. At 200 uA, Dout is typically less than 20 mV down from the power rail. On a characterization sample we did with Va = 5.25V, minimum Voh we saw was 5.2298V over the full temperature range.

Do you have any guidance regarding source current on Dout? I need this information for the current derating on the part for our reliability analysis. Thanks.

The abs max current on any pin is 10 mA as this is what they were designed to survive. As far as how much current the Dout pin could source or if it could source the full 10 mA, we have not characterized this or have any data on it.
