can ads54j40evm works with fpga virtex 6 ml605 ????!!

Abdallah,

We have never tested a Virtex 6 ml605 with a JESD204B device EVM. I suggest you contact Xilinx to see if this platform has a JESD204B IP core. If I remember correctly, I thought the transceivers on this board do not support this standard but I am not 100% sure. If the board does support the standard, then you need to verify if the required signals used by the ADC are mapped to the FMC connector on the ml605.

I have got my hands on both boards, the Virtex-6 ML605 and ADS54j40EVM, as well another board : DAC38RF82EVM, and it seems ML605 support the JESD204B IP core

Abdallah,

I spoke with Xilinx last week and they informed me this board has a Virtex 6 device on it which never supported JESD204B. It may support JESD204 or JESD204A.

I've been into confusion after your last reply, since from what i got here, and from Xilinx website, it shows me that ML605 support JESD204B :
www.xilinx.com/.../jesd2014-reference-designs.html and this as well.

I hope you can clarify it to me ASAP, and Thank you

Abdallah,

This is the latest from Xilinx:

"I believe way back in 2013 in the last days of our ISE software there was a version of JESD204B that worked on Virtex 6 devices (as found on the ML605).

This is no longer supported and Vivado has never supported Virtex 6 devices.

I will look to updating our webpages to remove mention of this".
