We are using DAC3161 and we experienced some weird things with SPI communications and need some help. The main phenomenon is: HOST as the SPI master, read and write its internal registers through the SPI interface, the DAC chip does not respond. For example, write a register and read the register value. The DAC has no response. We used Scope to check SPI timing and it seems to meet the spec requirement, but there is no DAC response. The SPI read has no DAC response, therefore, we don’t know if previous WRITE was correct.
