Linux/ADS1113: linux device driver support for ADS1113

Part Number: ADS1113
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: ADS1015

Tool/software: Linux

Hi,

We are using ADS1113 ADC for our custom board .

our custom board is having intel E3845 processor which is based on x86 architecture. is there any device driver present in the Linux kernel to support adc ADS1113 .and I aslo want the ACPI ID for adc ADS1113

  • Priyanka,

I don't know of a specific ADS1113 Linux driver, however, there is an ADS1015 Linux driver available.

The ADS1015 is the 12-bit version of a similar device, while the ADS1113 is 16-bit ADC without the PGA, multiplexer and comparator. You should be able to download this driver here:

    www.ti.com/.../ads1015sw-linux

While there are links from the TI website to get these drivers, we do not directly support them. These drivers were not developed by TI.

As your other question, I don't believe that the ADS1113 has an ACPI ID. I'm not aware of any ADCs that have been assigned a product identifier.
