ADS1299: Digital error, low SNR

Part Number: ADS1299

Dear Sir,

We performed some tests with the ADS1299 front end for measuring EEG signals. Unfortunately, there are huge digital errors (see attached figures). How can we solve it? Furthermore, how can we maximize the SNR, since the relevant data is very tiny? Could you please suggest me a related guide or application note?
Thanks, best regards.

Fernando

  • Hello Fernando,

    Thanks for your post!

Unfortunately we do not have an application note to support this as writing the code is ultimately up to the customer - however I can help you through the debug steps and provide example code.

For example code, please go to this website: www.ti.com/.../ads1299eegfe-pdk and download the two source files - firmware and software. This should help you work through the code and find where things are going wrong. I suspect that it is an issue with your code to voltage conversion. Please see this thread here: e2e.ti.com/.../1363393 for additional details.

Once this is cleaned up, then let's investigate increasing your SNR!
