ADS124S06: ADS124S06 RDATA command read from buffer

Part Number: ADS124S06

Dear Sir,

I would like to confirm if the RDARA command read never-corruption data from a buffer even just when updating the buffer? I wonder and imagine if the ADC has two buffers and the conversion data is stored in one of two buffers alternatively, then switch one at a time ready to read stable.

Best regards,

Masa

  • Hi Masa-san,

There is an internal conversion result register and an output buffer for the ADS124S06. When the RDATA command is issued the last completed result will be copied from the conversion result register to SPI output buffer. Any conversion result that updates during the RDATA read will not affect the results being read by command.

    Best regards,
