ADS1115: how can we check our product for emi emc test.

dear sir,

currently, I'm working on ads1115 datalogger. how can we test whether our product will withstand the industry standards? is there any test procedures that we can follow to test the product for emi emc .

Hi Nikhil,

Generally speaking, EMI/EMC testing is done in a 3 meter chamber as part of a system level test. There are 'sniffers' and near field probes that can be used in a general lab environment to try and isolate hot spots on your PCB (one such example is here www.magneticsciences.com/.../), but there is no specific test procedure that I can think of specifically related to the ADS1115 beyond following the layout example provided in the datasheet and minimizing transients on your I2C lines.

Along with Tom's comments, I would note that EMI and EMC results are related to the layout of the board and often not a problem of the device itself. Because of this, it is important to consider EMI and EMC before starting the layout of the PCB.
