ADS1218: Query regarding the Fdata

Hi Team,

Could you please let me know the maximum value for the Fdata of ADS1218Y.

From the datasheet , Fdata = (Fosc)/(mfactor*decimation ratio);

Maximum Fosc = 5MHz.

Minimum mfactor = 128, decimation ratio = 20.

By calculating with the above value, Maximum Fdata = 1953.125 Hz.

Thus, tdata = 0.000512 ~= 0.5ms

The minimum time between the output response of the ADS1218Y is 0.5ms.

Please let me know your suggestions.

    Hi Makesh,

    I guess I'm not sure what the question is as you have answered your own question. The maximum fData is as you have calculated it. However that is assuming that the digital filter has settled. The ADS1218 uses up to a sinc3 filter depending on selection. So this must also be a consideration if you are cycling through the mux.
