  • Patrik,

Since the end of the last year, we've had a new process for distributing example software code so that it conforms to export guidelines. I had thought that this was already available from a link in the product folder, but I don't see it.

I'll check to see if this example code is available and get back to you. Just as a warning, this may take a couple of days.

  • Patrik,

After doing some checking, the ADS131E08 example code is wrapped up with the ADS130E08EVM-PDK software. The two devices are similar, and I think we're in process of getting the example code with the ADS131E08EVM-PDK software also. To be sure, we'll start with what I've got in this post.

To download this, you'll need to go to the landing page for the ADS130E08 Performance Demonstration Kit. The link is below:

    www.ti.com/.../ADS130E08EVM-PDK

After that, go down to the Order Now section and find the download button for the software. When you download this and install it, it should create a directory in:

    C:\Program Files (x86)\ADS130E08EVM\Source

There should be a firmware_src.zip which you should be able to open, that has some example c code.

I would note if you are not using an EVM or are already using an EVM, cancel the installation setup for the USBStyx driver. You only want to run this once, when you first start using our EVMs. Running this a second time removes the driver.

  • Thank you so much
  • Sorry Joseph,
inside my directory "C:\Program Files (x86)\ADS130E08EVM\" there isn't a directory named "Source" and there isn't any zip file, there is a directory named "fw" but inside there is only a bin file.
I've got installed the last software version "ADS131E08EVM-PDK-SW-installer.exe" on the site. (I supposed 1.0.0 - 20 June 2012).

  • Patrik,

I'm sorry it didn't go through, but I believe that I got it by installing from the same link.

However, I might know what wrong. Can you try installing the package again? This time fully download the installer onto your computer and then run this installer, instead of running it from the link. If you run the installer from the link, the installer may lose the zip directories that it's supposed to install in the temporary internet files/folders on your computer.

There is one thing to note on this example code. This code was mostly for our EVM development and use with the ADS131E08 and not great as an example. You can look through it and see what might be helpful, but we don't necessarily support this code.

  • Joseph, already I had fully download the installer and then run the installer.

However I've got retry to perform the installer but with the same result.

I attached a screenshoot about my installation directory, where you can see how it is done.

  • Patrick,

I think I know what is wrong. What you're showing me looks like the ADS131E08EVM installation. As I mentioned in a previous post, the example code is wrapped up with the ADS130E08EVM install. For my version of the ADS130EVM material, this is what it looks like:

In this install, you would go to the Source directory, where you can find the zip files:

Go to the ADS130E08EVM download on this page:

Download it onto your computer and run the install. You should be able to compare these images with the directories created on your computer. If there are any problems, there is an install log. It should have something like this:

If you do have problems, check the log and post back here.

    Joseph Wu

  • Yes! OK, I found it! Perfect.

    Thank you so much

    Best Regards
