ADS1278EVM-PDK: MMB0 with Windows 10

Part Number: ADS1278EVM-PDK
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: ADCPRO, ADS1278

Dear Sir:

Where can I find ADCPRO for Windows 10?

I downloaded a copy of ADCPRO (ADCPRO-installer.exe) for Windows 7,  and then installed it in both of my Windows 10 computer and my Windows 7 computer. But no computer could find the MMB0 driver. Is the MMB0 drive a 32-bit application or a 64-bit?

Can I downloaded the driver and manually install it into my Windows 10 or Windows 7 computer?

Thank you in advance.

  • Hello Wenquan,

We do not have a version of ADCPRO that is directly supported by WIN10. Several customers have been able to get the software to work on WIN10, but you must have ADMIN rights to do this.

You will need to configure your WIN10 PC to allow installation of unsigned drivers. There are several options if you do a search; here is a link to one of them.

it still didn't work after I disabled the option of the signature enforcement. Here is what I did.

Step 1, I disabled the signature enforcement.

Step 2, I removed the unknown device MMB0 from the device manager of my PC, since MMB0 was marked as unknown by the device manager.

Step 3, I plugged MMB0 to a USB port of my PC. The device manager said immediately that the driver was successfully installed and ready for use. But the device manager still marked MMB0 as unknown. So, I clicked on the diagnosis, then it said a new driver had been installed. So I restarted my PC as told by the manager.

Step 4, After the restart, I run ADCpro with MMB0 being connected to my PC first. Then I saw the main window of ADPro appeared on my PC, but the EVM tab still didn't have the EVAL-AD7609. So I checked the device manager of my PC again, the MMB0 was still marked as unknown.

The conclusion? The ADCPro still cannot see MMB0, in other word, MMB0 is still unable to connect to ADCPro.

  • Keith:
Could you please send me a device driver of MMB0 for Windows7, or Windows XP? Is it possible to include a device driver of MMB0 in the ADCPro's software download? This device driver can be either for Windows7 or XP, then the customer can at least find an old computer to run ADCPro.

I got an old computer of Windows 7. But it still cannot find a device driver for the MMB0, so ADCPro still doesn't work with MMB0..

  • Hello Wenquan,

The drivers are included as part of the download process. You need to download both ADCPro Evaluation Software at this link AND the plug-in ADS1278EVM-PDK-SW at this link.

Once the ADS1278EVM-PDK-SW package is installed, you should see a new folder labeled 'ADS1278' in at this location:

    C:\Program Files (x86)\ADCPro\plugins\evm

The drivers needed to connect to the MMB0 are located in the ADS1278EVM-PDK-SW package.

    Keith

  • Hello Wenquan,

I hope you were able to get this working on your WIN7 PC with the information provided. As I stated in my previous post, all drivers are included in the ADCpro and ADS1278EVM-PDK-SW downloads.

I am going to close this thread out, but if you have further questions, please feel free to create a new post.

    Regards,
    Keith
