ADS1258EVM-PDK: Driver for MMB0 Board

Part Number: ADS1258EVM-PDK
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: ADCPRO

Hello Forum,

I tried to run with ADCPro the ADS1258-EVM, but the firmware said that the download failed. And from another thread I know I need the driver for the MMB0 Board, but I can't find the driver. Could anyone please send me a Link or the file?

Kind regards,

Eric

  • Hi Eric,

There are 2 pieces of software that need to be installed.  One is ADCPro, and the other is the ADS1258EVM plugin for ADCPro.  The EVM plugin (ADS1258EVM-PDK-SW) can be downloaded from the EVM product page:

    http://www.ti.com/tool/ADS1258EVM-PDK

The driver is part of the plugin installation and is included in the folder structure created in Program Files (x86) for ADCPro, however the driver is unsigned.  ADCPro is only supported for Win7.  It has not been designed or thoroughly tested to operate on Win10, although some customer's have gotten it to work with various EVMs.

    Best regards,

  • Hello Bob B,

    I got Windows 8.1.

I have found the driver now an my other PC, but it still dont work.

Do you think it's the same problem, like on Windows 10?

    Kind regards

    Eric

  • It works now! I did this:

Disable Windows driver signature enforcement and reinstall the MMB0 driver
  • Hi Eric,

I should have included Win8.1 as well, but I forget about that OS (and 8.0) as most all newer computers has moved to Win10. Microsoft now enables windows driver signature enforcement on OSes beyond Win7. The MMB0 driver is unsigned, so driver signature enforcement must be turned off when installing the driver.

I'm glad you were able to find a post that was helpful and was able to install the driver.

    Best regards,
    Bob B
