DAC43608: how to configure unused pin

Part Number: DAC43608

Dear Specialists,

My customer is considering DAC43608 and has a question.

I would be grateful if you could advise.

---

I won't use LDAC and CLR pin.

Could you please let me know how to configure.

---

I appreciate your great prompt help in advance.

Best regards,

Shinichi

  • Hi Shinichi,

Thank you for your query. The /LDAC and /CLR are active low inputs. Pulling /LDAC low updates the DAC output to the programmed code. Pulling /CLR low will make the DAC outputs 0V.

So, if unused, /CLR should be pulled HIGH.

And, if unused, /LDAC should be pulled LOW.

Note that there is no software LDAC. So, if the LDAC is not driven and pulled HIGH, the outputs will never update.

    Hope that answers your question.

  • Hi Uttam,

    Thank you for your reply.

I understand how to handle LDAC and CLR when unused.

I'll share these information with the customer.

    I appreciate your great help.
