AFE4490: clock choose of AFE4490

Dear Experts,

we use AFE4490 in our product now, and we want to use active oscillator as the clock, in datasheet we do not see any information of the clock choose

as the picture show in the attachment, Is it feasible to do so?

Hi Kane,

You can connect 8MHz crystal oscillator between XIN and XOUT pin of AFE4490 and reset XTALDIS (i.e. 0x23<9>) bit.

Hi Kane,

They do not have a footprint for crystal in between XIN and XOUT pin of AFE4490, so they just can't install the component.
They have to update the schematic and get the new board. Please refer to figure 59 of the datasheet for details on how to connect crystal ( you also need two capacitors).
