ADS5294EVM: ADS5294EVM issue with second and 8 channel in ADC.

Hi,

One of our customer purchased ADS5294EVM and facing issue with second and 8 channel in ADC.

 

Could you pls look in to this issue and kindly advice how to proceed further.

    if it is the question of how this EVM operates,
    please refer to ADS5294EVM Users Guide for all the detail description inside:
    www.ti.com/.../ADS5294EVM
    If it is due to the board hardware issue,
    could you please send us some photos
    such as good channel and bad channel pictures?

    we support ADS5294EVM with TSW1400EVM data capture board together.
    Hope your customer is using the same settings as we are using (shown in ADS5294EVM Users Guide).

    Thanks for your reply.

    Below are the issues we are facing while capturing the ADC data. 

    Using the ADS9294 GUI were are generating the Dual custom pattern as ADC output from the ADC ADC output channels. 

    This data we are capturing using KC705 board. 

    while capturing the all the 8 channels data we are able to capture the test pattern for channel 1,3,4,5,6 and 7 properly.

    But while capturing the data for channel 2 and channel 8 we are not able to capture the pattern exactly as pattern generated. 

    so what are the photos needed ?

    Hi Umamahesh,

    How are you?
    Since we are using TSW1400EVM board to capture the output data of ADS5294EVM
    and it is working fine to capture all eight channels' output data. Therefore we cannot
    directly point out the problem is coming from the device or the capture card.
    First, could you please try the different test pattern (such as Ramp pattern)?
    usually we capture Ramp Pattern.
    Then if still not working correctly, then please send us the pictures of the not working channels' output data
    (such as CH2, CH8's time domain output data/sample D0 - D13)
