ADS1115: About the influence to the input of built-in MUX

Part Number: ADS1115

Hi Team,

If the differential signal input is inputted selecting the pair of AIN0 and AIN1 with the input multiplexer,

does the another differential signal which is inputted to AIN2 and AIN3 affect the output code of the ADC ?

I cannot find the specification for crosstalk or channel separation in ADS1115 data sheet,

so could you please give me your advice ?

Best Regards,

Kenji

  • Kenji-san,

The level of crosstalk on this device should be below the resolution of this device. I don't know of any characterization data for the ADS1115, however, several of our other 24-bit devices have crosstalk measured, and it is generally in the noise floor of those devices. For the ADS1115, which has a similar multiplexer and is a 16-bit device, I don't think that you would see any effect of crosstalk in the measurement.
