ADS1293: CMOR flag when using RLDOUT directly

Part Number: ADS1293

I have an application where i am driving RLDOUT from the RLDOUT pin rather than through one of the INx pins. when i do this i get an CMOR error. if i still drive the RLDOUT from the RLDOUT pin but also put the RLDOUT through one of the INx pins (not connected to anything) then my CMOR  flag is ok. is the CMOR sensor looking at the INx for the RLD to assess common mode range?

  • HI Tim,

    Thanks for your post.

The CMOR bit is set whenever the average common-mode voltage from all the selected channels gets within 750 mV of the supplies. See Figure 21 from the datasheet below:

Verify that the channels enabled for common-mode detection in the CMDET_EN register (0x0A) are being driven at the inputs with voltage within this range. If a given input is not used, disable that input from being monitored for common-mode voltage.

    Best regards,
