ADS1298: ADS1298 Radiated fields and proximity fields test

Part Number: ADS1298

Hi Sir

ADS1298 is used on our 12 lead ECG products,

When we are testing IEC61000-4-3 Radiated fields and proximity fields

the test condition is 385 MHz, the ECG signal will be disturbed.

Have any suggestions can be improved, thanks!

Test Conditions

  • Hello Kris,

Welcome to our forum and thank you for your post!

I can offer a few thoughts, but this standard test is a bit beyond our area of expertise.

    1. ECG cables with an actively driven shield should help reduce noise coupling onto the electrode wires.
    2. Make sure you have proper antialiasing filters on the inputs with low-pass cutoffs on the order of ~50 kHz or so.
    3. Try reviewing/increasing power supply decoupling and voltage reference decoupling around the ADS1298.
    4. Configure the ADS1298 for internal short, then for internal square wave test signal and see if the RF disturbance has the same effect.

    Best regards,
