CCS/ADS131E06: ADS131E06

Part Number: ADS131E06

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

hi

im working with analog digital converter ADS131E06 i want to know if i should powered ON device then powered ON  reference voltage, or  the opposite.

Or I am free in the choice, i means who powred ON first does not have any effect.

Best regards

At the end of the datasheet, we will often give power supply recommendations, including timing for power up of the device. In the ADS131E06 datasheet, you can find that on page 61. Before power up you want all digital and analog inputs low (this would include the reference inputs).

The datasheet adds a bit more commentary, but it continues with the following. Keep all of these input signals low, and then apply the power to the device. Allow the supply to settle to the final value and then you can apply the master clock signal to the CLK pin. The wait for a minimum of the tPOR time to transmit a reset. After that, wait 18 tCLK to start using the device.

I'd say that you should be able to power on the reference shortly after powering on the supplies. You could power the reference at the same time as the /RESET.
