Hello,

I am using a DAC38RF82 EVM with on-chip pll enabled, I see that the die temperature reads 78 C.

What is the safest temperature that this device can be operated at?

I observed that there is no thermal paste between the chip and the heat sink. Should I apply some?

Please let me know.

Mallesh,

The recommended max die temperature is 105 C. If you are using this board at room temperature, it should have no problem as is. If you plan on operating at 85 C, you may want to add thermal paste and may need air flow across the heat sink.
