DAC128S085EVM: Can connect to the EVM

I can connect to the MSP-EXP430FR5994 board with the Out of Box Demo GUI and read temperatures.

I then installed the DAC12xSxxx... INstaller and drivers and then re-booted.

However, when I select the Device I get 'Not Connected' no matter what I try.

Is there a way to troubleshoot this??

Hello,

Are you able to install the drivers as shown in section 2.2 and are you able to see the device driver as per figure 2-5 of the EVM user's guide?

Sorry, I couldn't ever get it to work on the MSP-EXP430 board so I wired the EVM board directly to my prototype unit and used an existing 5V supply and SPI interface for another part and talked to the DAC directly on my board. Since I have kludged it in to my board to test it, I can't easily take it off and try anything further with the PC at this time. If I get it off later, I may still try to connect to the PC, but I was able to accomplish my testing through my ad-hoc SPI/kludge.
