ADS114S08: REFOUT buffer output current capability

The data sheet indicates that REFOUT can be used to bias external circuitry, but nowhere does it give a drive capability for the buffer. How much bias current can be drawn from REFOUT?

Hi Richard,

REFOUT directly corresponds to the internal reference. I can see how this may seem a little confusing. The information for the internal reference output can be found on page 9 of the ADS114S08 datasheet. In the section INTERNAL VOLTAGE REFERENCE, there is a sub-section called 'Output current'. There are 2 ranges listed depending on AVDD supply operation. For AVDD voltages up to 3.3V, the internal reference can source 5mA, and at voltages greater than 3.3V can source 10mA.

Hi Richard,

You must be looking at the ADS114S08B datasheet where the information is on page 8. For the standard version ADS114S08 it is on page 9. Just want to make it clear for anyone reading this thread.
